In this role as our Director of Development, you will stand at the forefront of our breast cancer and heart disease fundraising strategies, motivating the public on key issues while making meaningful connections daily.

*HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT*
· Lead all development and coordination of activities including annual campaigns, major gifts, special events/fundraisers, individual donors, grant support, and volunteer fundraising efforts.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders such as corporations, foundations, and individuals, while also developing strategies for adding new donors into the pipeline.
* Maintain an annual fundraising calendar that includes deadlines for submission.
* Oversee the effective use and maintenance of the donor database.
* Develop and oversee a donor recognition plan, including donor appreciation opportunities.
* Help develop and oversee the annual fundraising budget including providing periodic reports with an analysis of all fundraising activities.
* Organize and train volunteers in the solicitation of charitable gifts and provide them with guidance, support, and required materials.
* Represent the organization to volunteer groups, at events, and in the community with the goal of increasing the visibility of the organization’s mission, priorities, and needs.

· You’re experienced: You have at least 3+ years non-profit development experience and know the fundraising principles and best practices.
· You build a strong rapport: Your relationship building skills are strong to establish trust with our existing and potential donors.
You also have a strong existing network within the fundraising community.
· You’re committed to our cause: Your passion shines through in your work, constantly taking action to raise essential funds and spread awareness.
· You’re adaptable: Constantly being versatile and innovative, you respond to fundraising trends and meet the changing needs of potential donors.
