The University of Miami/UHealth has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Marketing Healthcare.
SUMMARY
Oversees strategic communications and marketing efforts including thought-leadership, ranking/ratings reputation work, research and content generation;
Identifies differentiators and key messaging in support of overall positioning;
Integrates the latest technology platforms into marketing research, strategy and execution;
Oversees budget and provides analytics for communication and marketing efforts, adjusting as needed to achieve success;
Works collaboratively with internal colleagues and outside vendors to support marketing and business goals;
Oversees and directs development of omnichannel marketing campaigns for assigned service lines;
Responsible for tracking and optimization of consumer- and peer- facing digital marketing efforts.
Oversees and directs all traditional and social media strategies for assigned service lines;
Works collaboratively with internal colleagues and outside vendors to support marketing and business goals;
Determines and produces content needed to support marketing and communications efforts (including but not limited to multimedia packages, infographics, story graphics, photos, and video);
Seeks out and identifies new platforms for sharing content;
Plans and provides strategic support for participation at national conferences;
Leverages social media, bloggers, online publications and other digital channels and assets to increase awareness and share of voice for the Desai Sethi Urology Institute and its leaders;
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Persistent, creative, quick-thinking and multi-tasking;
Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills;
Well-versed in understanding complex concepts and communicating them simply and succinctly.
Proven ability to manage and lead projects; collaborate with colleagues;
Fully versed in digital, mobile marketing and social media applications;
Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):
Minimum of 8 years in strategic communications/marketing/with increasing responsibilities and project oversight
Experienced in creating content for a variety of channels and audiences;
Academic or healthcare marketing and communications experience preferred.
