*Job Description: * We are actively seeking an experienced Loan Trader to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the acquisition and oversight of residential loan purchases in accordance with our underwriting guidelines.
This requires performing mortgage due diligence, while ensuring smooth coordination with our lending partners.
*Responsibilities:* * Price pools of various loan types secured by real estate assets in order to maintain fund’s monthly budget and achieve target ROE for investors.
* Act as the primary contact with lender/correspondent/ partners, delivering exceptional customer service.
* Negotiate term sheets with new counter parties to grow business and establish partnerships.
* Interface daily with lenders to initiate trades and manage monthly volume.
* Coordinate various operational aspects of the loan buying process, ensuring a seamless transition between seller, vendor, and other intermediaries.
* Manage and oversee third-party due diligence for flow, bulk, and mini bulk purchases.
* Collaborate closely with Credit and Asset Management teams to be a resource for partners with scenario and exception questions and post-purchase service.
* Assist in managing due diligence on securitizations.
* Oversee pre-close review process, ensuring compliance and quality control.
* Excel in understanding the use of technology to facilitate smooth onboarding process.
*Desired Experience and Qualifications:* * Minimum of 3+ years of experience in any of the following: loan acquisitions, structuring, underwriting, and/or asset management with a focus on residential loan level underwriting and mortgage due diligence.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
* In-depth understanding and experience with Bridge, Fix & Flip, and DSCR loans.
* Knowledge of appraisal valuations and comprehensive review processes.
* Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate progress, proposals, and timelines effectively to Senior Management.
* Ability to thrive under time constraints and in fast-paced environments.
