Summary
Barry University's Department of Sociology and Criminology invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in the field of criminology/criminal justice for the Fall 2024 semester.
The ideal candidate must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in criminology or criminal Justice from an accredited institution and be prepared to provide in-person instruction in courses that include Police & Policing, Corrections, and related topics.
Candidates should possess not just academic proficiency, but also practical experience in the criminal justice field that will significantly contribute to the educational experience of our students.

Essential Functions
Provide effective in-classroom instruction.
Prepare syllabi, organize Canvas course site, select readings, and develop lesson plans.
Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes through assignments, examinations, and other methods.
Respond to emails and inquiries from students promptly and professionally.
Submit/upload grades, rubrics, assessment scores, and other materials.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of a Master's degree in criminology or criminal justice from an accredited institution
Experience in the Criminal Justice system or related fields
