ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include setting goals, evaluating performance, developing outcomes and use program and client outcomes data to improve services delivered to the children and families served.
Prepare an Individualized education program for each student.
Assess each student in reading, math science social studies and other subject areas.
Prepare daily and longer-term lesson plans in accordance with curriculum and state guidelines.
Teach the full range of learning areas: English (reading, writing, speaking and listening), mathematics, science, technology, Spanish, arts society and environment, and personal development.
Use computers to assist in lesson preparation, teaching and reporting.
Develop and maintain good working habits and discipline in classrooms.
Supervise students during classes and at other times in the school day, including lunch breaks.
Attend staff meetings and other training and development sessions.
Assess and evaluate students’ progress in written and oral work.
Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED:
Ability to pass a background check.
Authorized to work in the U.
S.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Relevant teaching experience (i.
e.
2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, 9th 10th 11th 12th grade classroom teaching)
Knowledge of relevant instructional methods and technology
Desire and ability to work with students at this specified age level.
