High School Volleyball Coach @ Varela High School - Miami

Felix Varela High School is looking for an enthusiastic and structured volleyball coach (We have both men's and women's team) who would be responsible for coaching high school student athletes in strategies and techniques to prepare them for volleyball competition.
In addition, motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.
Sport Season February- April Duties include: 1.
Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages potential athletes to participate in the sport.

Assesses player's skills and assigns to correct levels.
3.
Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.
Must have practice plans at for every practice.
4.
Works with the Athletic Director in scheduling facilities for practices and games.
5.
Coaches and instructs players, individually and in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
6.
Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met; and encourages student athletes to maintain a high academic standard.
7.
Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury.
8.
Conferences with parents/guardians, as necessary, regarding the athletic performance of their student.
9.
Follows state, regional, and district regulations governing the athletic program.
10.
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
11.
Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
Coaches are expected to keep an accurate inventory of uniforms and equipment.
12.
Works with the Athletic Director to develop a policy for awards and submits a list of award winners at the end of the season.
13.
Participates in special activities to include fundraising, parent's night, banquets, award nights, and pep rallies.
14.
Must communicate regularly with ATHLETIC director via email: school announcements, bus request and roster status.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $3,338.
00 per year and possible more if full time position opens in school.
If hired for position, will require a drug test and fingerprinting.
