Responsible for achieving the mission of the school: “initiating the young mind into the art of thinking through the teaching of mathematics and the Greek language.
” Collaborates in designing a grade level instructional program that ensures scholars’ success in the XXI Century.
Primary responsibilities with scholars:
* Capable of generating thinking, purpose, relevance and curiosity
* Articulate clear learning expectations and goals
* Create a positive educational climate that promotes learning
* Design challenging curricula, learning plans and activities
* Differentiate instructional strategies and scaffolds learning
* Capitalize on diversity and cultural backgrounds
* Practice essential prerequisite skills and vocabulary
* Conduct formative assessments and measure growth
* Promote positive student behaviors and performance attitudes
* Provide feedback and communicate professionally with parents

Professional Duties:
* Create lesson plans, manages grade book and respond to e-mails
* Promote global learning and technology for instruction
* Create materials and integrates curriculum resources
* Develop professional relationships with colleagues and programs
* Manage time effectively and is dependable
* Model punctuality and minimizes absences
* Enforce the rules and safety procedures for the school
* Comply with federal programs and mandated assessments
* Hold a valid certificate and fulfill FDOE requirements
* Complete other duties as assigned
